How do the seven heads shave differently to a single blade?
The CloseCut runs seven independent floating rotary heads driven by a 3.7V lithium motor. Because multiple heads sit across your face at the same time, they follow the contours of your jaw and neck together and clear each area in fewer passes. A single-blade wet razor cuts one narrow strip, so you keep going back over the same skin. Fewer passes is the specific reason there is less dragging that leaves you red.
Are these rotary heads or foil, and do they float?
These are rotary heads, not a flat foil. Each of the seven heads floats independently, so they pivot and follow the shape of your jaw, chin and neck rather than sitting flat and skipping over dips. That floating action is why the shaver holds contact around the curve of your neck, where a rigid single head or a stiff foil tends to miss. It gives you an even finish across an uneven surface.
Can I use it wet in the shower, or dry only?
The GlideTrim is a dry shaver, so use it on clean, dry skin for face and scalp. Keep it out of the shower and away from running water. There’s no need for foam or cream, just switch it on and shave. How do I clean the heads after shaving?
Detach the head assembly and tap out the loose hair, then brush the cutters clean between shaves so they stay sharp and hygienic. Because the body isn't sealed against water, keep the body dry and clean the heads without submerging the whole shaver.
